Akos is a senior economist at CDC and has multiple years of experience in the field of competition economics. As a private practitioner he worked on various cartel investigations and damages claims, as well as merger and dominance investigations. Akos advised clients on cases in front of the European Commission, national authorities, and courts. His experience ranges through a wide selection of markets: telecommunications, transportation, FMCG, commodities, banks, payment schemes, etc. Since joining CDC in 2020, Akos has been involved in damages cases related to cartel behaviour and abuse of dominance.
Akos studied economics at the Utrecht School of Economics, the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Corvinus University of Budapest. He frequently publishes on various topics concerning cartels and antitrust.
In his free time Akos does fencing at a competitive level.
